Fluval external

I am considering buying a fluval external 204 for my tank!Im wondering about the noise and the filteration?and also does it come with a spray bar?But the main thing is if its quiet becuase its in my bedroom and mums a light sleeper!Thankyou

I believe Fluval filters are very quiet actually, as for the spray bar, you may have to purchase it seperately. In any case, don't hesitate to ask an employee at your LFS, sometimes they know their stuff.

I have four Fluval externals in my front room on various different tanks and I don't find them too noisy. Having said that you do need to keep the impellors clean as these can become noisy at times.

THe spray bars don't add to the moise unless you have them pointing above the surface. All you need to do is get some surface agitation (ripples) rather than a full blown mill race. I have a straight spray bar on my small marine tank and a curved older style one on my community tank which are both absolutely silent.
