What you side the side? No media all clean and checked?

Leaking on the side with baskets or on the side with pre-filter?

Take the baskets out of the filter (with the media still in them and stack them: do they fit snugly together?

Hi it is leaking from the case and I have tried it with all the baskets out and still same problem

If the power lead is definitely going into the dent which the bottom part of the filter has, I am stumped. I suggest you contact Fluval about under warranty replacement/repair.

Yes, but if you want to do it under warranty, call up Fluval first and ask if you need to go through the place you bought it from or directly through them.

it just sucks in air plus its only 4 months old i souldnt have to do it should i ?

I think so, it should say in the manual.

Well finally got it sorted today.

Took it to lfs and they replaced the case and pump with a brand new no questions asked.

Cool! Glad to hear that you got it sorted, one way or another.. Fluval externals used to have a reputation for leaking often and randomly, about 5-10 years ago, but I never thought that it would still be the case!

He said that they may be looking to recall a Batch of the 305 and 405 filters but he will let me know!
