Fluval Edge?

I plan on getting the Fluval Edge sometime in June and I was wondering what kind of fish are suitable for the tank?
I would really like to start out with several goldfish but I'm not sure how many I should get for the size of that tank.

The tanks going to be to small for one goldfish let alone several. Goldfish can and will grow to 8"+.
Why not convert it to tropical and go for something like
3 Sparkling gourami
6 Ember tetra
6 Cherry shrimp

Do you know a tank that would be great for several fancy goldfish?
A tank that includes a filter, etc. the basic needs for a tank?​

For fancy goldfish your you will need a 30G for 1 and 10G extra for every one after that.. Im not to sure what tank would be best though. If you like the look of goldfish if you went for a tropical 30-40G you could have a shoal of gold barbs which are very similar.

I guess I'll stroll around the LFS and see the sizes of tanks they have and what would work out for my bedroom etc.
EDIT: Would the Fluval edge tank be suitable for a betta? I heard that a 5g to 10 gallon tanks work best. Would that mean I would only be able to have 1 betta because the tank is 6gallons?​

A betta would be fine in there but it would need to have a heater. In a 6G you could have 1 betta and 6 pygmy corys or cherry shrimp.

Does the Fluval brand have a heater specifically for the Edge or would I have to go out for a different brand?​

Im not sure if im honest. Any 25w heater should do the job.

There is a heater thats marketed with the Edge, not sure if it is just for the Edge but its normally with the rest of the things for that tank.

Its a 25w one and costs around £25

I looked up different tanks and found a 30gallon tank (costs a little bit more but worth it for having the goldfish), would that be better for several fancy goldfish?
And hopefully the length of the tank will work out with my room, gotta buy some measuring tape for myself and figure out some measurements!​

A 30G will be alot better. Have a look on ebay you can often get some nice tanks for cheap. I got a 150G for £65 but it needed a lid making.

Looked on eBay and found a 50gallon tank but it's local pick-up only.
And it was cheaper than the tank I'm looking at on petco!​

ITs worth keeping a eye on there for a few days because theres normally some great deals.

Keep looking on Ebay localy adjust the search peramiters to withinn 10 miles of your postcode, tanks turn up all the time. I got a 40 gallon tank, with stand, lights & very good external filter for £92.

I found a 55gallon tank on craigslist cheaper than the 30/40gallon tanks I found on petco but I'm not sure if it'll still be available in June...
