Hi, cleaned my 304 i am yet to use, set it up,but i cant get the water to starting flowing through, Ive tried sucking the pipes etc to get water pushed through but nothing. I presume the leaver bit which stops the water coming in and out is n the right way. Anyone got one of these and can help me. Thanks!

I have a Fluval, and they are "devils"to prime with the lever. I fill mine with dechlorinated water( when I clean it) and then prime if it needs a little priming. Works like a charm....

yes i filled it up beofre i turned it on. What you mean prime? no good wth filters lol. And which way dpes the lever need to be? up or down?

Thanks for the help,Ben.

The blue lever locks the hoses( on mine) into place. It it in the down position, when hoses are locked. The grey lever controls flow...down position is maximum flow. The primer is to the left of the lever....

Here's what mine looks like...

I'm guessing you pull and push the blue handle (with the filter on) until the water starts flowing

yes thats how you do it but its not very good, your best just making sure the intake is submerged and the aquastop valve is down and sucking the output, this will start to syphon water into the canister through the intake, Replace the output, when it stops bubbling the canister is full and you can turn the pump on. :good: Let us know how you get on!!!

If you're pumping the primer, do it vigorously! I find it very difficult to prime if the filter is empty...when it's filled beforehand, it's much easier...
