Hey all, I've got a small (10gallon) aquarium with a little red eared slider in it, and I know how much waste turtles produce. Well, I work at a Petsmart and I happened to get a fluval 3 plus last night for free because it was returned as missing parts. The extension piece for the nozzle was missing apparently, it's not needed to run the device so I said I'd take it. I was wondering though, I know that the filter is for up to 34gallons. Would it be too much filtration for a 10gallon tank? I currently have a fulval 1 plus in the tank, should I just leave that in there and use the fluval 3 plus for my dads reef?

I over filter find it best.
But if you only have the turtle in there I would just use the fluval one.
The current of the fluval three might be abit much for the turtle if you can't turn the flow down.

You might just have to vac the susbrate more if they are big waste producers.

lol Oh god, I know I'll need an upgrade, I've got a 40gallon tank, and that'll be the turtles home (all by it's lonesome) in the future.
