Can someone tell me what the best locations are for the media. I have 3 trays. one of which has a blue seperator so 2 different things can go in one tray.

I currently have:

1 tray with Bio media
1 tray with ammo chips
1 tray with blue divider which houses 2 carbon media.

On this filter which way should they go? does the bio media cermaic hole things go on the botton, then ammo chips, and carbon on top?

Personally i throw the carbon away, its of very little use i substitute with more biomedia, the same with the ammo chips(should not require).

I have the following

tray 1 (top) - polishing pads
tray 2 (Middle) - Bio media
tray 3 (Bottom) - Bio media

Hope this helps.

ps. keep the carbon as its good to remove meds if used at any point.

i'll keep the carbon as i ave them now. SO with my set up should the carbon go above the ammo chips?

Also would carbon stop tap water conditioners working?

I have peat in one but only because i have hard water, a polishing pad (in the blue tray) to remove fine particles and the last 2 trays full with biomax.
