It's been a while since I've researched external filters so my knowledge is a bit rusty. I vaguely remember that the Fluval external filters have 'vacuum-pipe' style hoses and I was wondering if anyone has any experience in regards to fitting in-line diffusers and lily pipes?
I don't want to be stuck with a filter that I can't use my other equipment with, so if the fluval isn't suitable I'll be getting a tetratec.
Also, if anyone can recommend any other, cheaper external, but reliable and quiet, filters I'd be interested to here about them
