Right so with intention of divided tank and fluval2 plus is the best way to adapt to add some tubing on the outlet on slowest current and have the tube running over the divides with small holes punched in the sides in relevant places?

Also heater in the divide where filter is best to push heater down the tank?

Lastly! How much divide above the water is recommended for jumping fishies?

Thanks guys!

so here is my first mini step. Ignore mini elite filter at front, just keeping that running! Heater will be in the centre compartment once the 2nd divider is in place. Fluval have added the tubing which you can just see running from right to left. Need to cut the length down and apply holes to that end to disperse filtration. Cant decide whether to apply holes to tubing in middle compartment...hmmm

I have also 2 inches (exactly!) clear at the top to help prevent jumpers and fighitng, fingers alllllll crossed!

Let me know what you think.

Looks really great! Does your fluval have a spray bar? You can cut some semi-circular grooves into the tops of the 2 dividers so the spray bar sits on them (make sure it runs the length of the tank)

Dont think it does  when it comes to the equipment still learning! Attached my own tube on the fluvals output and hope my beloved will make it much neater for me sitting ontop of the dividers. Thanks MermaidMel, they will be relatively sparse to begin with but will add more as time goes on (done step 2 of adding more foliage :))

LOL Yep that is my 14g it always looks tiny in the pictures and my 10g looks huge! Go figure. Will get better pic soon of the proper setup and plan over weekend is to collect two :)

Won't you need to have another divider If you are going to get 3 bettas? Also, what tail types are the bettas you are getting? I think you said that you have already ordered them.

heya yep, second divider is being picked up tomorrow. Two boys being picked up tomrrow and have pics but dont want to tempt fate (you will get pics tom ;)).

They are to look at though: from what I can tell the first is half moon predominantly red with sheen and gold flecked tail. The second one looks well not too sure as the tips are very see through, but colourwise blue gold with red peeking. They have had mishaps and am happy to rehome them! (First got beaten up by a female, both have kinkages to their tales, still gorgeous but not really openly sellable) :)

thanks forestpisces!

Here is tank with plants in, plan to get each one a little house as they are cheap and thought good little shelter. What do you think?

So you are rescuing them? I love the half moons and super deltas. I want to get a super delta soon.

It is more of a favour to a breeder, I asked if he had any needy of homes and he does and getting new stock in soon, so it was a win win basis, I will also be purchasing his new stock as well so excited all round!

I would say love CTs but that was when there was a choice of CTs and VTs, I now love everything! Half moons and super deltas are gorgeous though, my dream white ct should be just round the corner!

Pming you forestpisces ;) The dragons are cool! That one is gorgeous!!! Very vivid gold.

That post makes us all want to spen millions on bettas, doesn't it? I don't like that color Forest, but I like the tail type, I am more of the type of guy that likes the steel blue bettas. But what ever floats your boat. After I get my multies, instead of apistogramma now, I am going to get some more tanks to house some expensive bettas in. Betta keeping is like a hobby, is it not?!

Yeah it is a hobby as well as pets so two for one! They can pretty suit anyones tastes and what wins me over most is the personalities!
