So I have the Fluval 106 for my tank, the 100L/m one.

I've ran into a problem though...I used to have it set up for my old tank, and when I bought a new one I discovered the hoses were too short to comfortably reach. I ordered a spare set from Amazon and received them today. The problem is that the new hoses are 17mm diameter, whereas the proper ones for my filter are 14.5mm diameter.

I've scoured the internet for somewhere that sells the 14.5mm stuff without trying to take my eyeballs out for some hose, but it looks as though that type of hose has never existed! I've cut up and installed the new hose and managed to jam it into the ports, but I'm a bit unsure about leaving it like that, the rubber fittings dont exactly look secure...

Can anyone suggest where I can get the proper hosing from?

Don't know how much you'd refer to as an eye removing price but Seapets sell 106/206 ribbed hose for £12.39, using the larger diameter stuff you currently have can be made more secure by electrical taping the rubber ferrule ends and clamping them in place with jubilee style clamps.

Found a relatively local fish specialist in Durham, decided to bite the bullet and go over...got the last one! £12.81 I think he charged, but he was a canny fellow so I'll let him off with the extra few pennies.

Now have the filter properly piped up and working...

The tank is finished! Just need my plants to grown now... :p
