Fluorescent and Incandescent?

Does it make any difference which one you use for a planted tank? Because I wanna get fluorescent cause it looks better but I'm not sure if it will be good for plants. Can someone tell me the difference between them?

Many years ago, incandescent was the only option. Studies have shown that any light, with sufficient intensity, will grow plants.

That being said, the standard today is flourescent. It runs color and is much more efficient. I suggest a good daylight bulb. Shoot for about 3 watts per gallon and you'll be fine.
