My tank has been running for about 6 months now. Specs posted below. I periodically see all of the fish 'flick' themselves against the rocks or decorations. Rarely do I see them do it more then once a day, or even once every few days. I guess I'm trying to head off a problem before it gets out of hand.

I've searched and read on various different types of parasites. I can see nothing on any of my fish. No obvious signs of distress. Two platies are due to give birth the week sometime.

Is it possible my fish have flukes, or am I just being paranoid? I am also totally confused on what meds to get in the US. It seems like there are so many, and different sites say different things.

Tank size:30 ga.
pH: 7.0
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:10
kH:don't know
gH:don't know
tank temp:78 degrees

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): peridically will do a quick rub against decorations of gravel. Maybe once a week that I've seen?

Volume and Frequency of water changes: 20% every week

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: water treatment before adding new water to rid of additives (chlorine, etc)

Tank inhabitants: 2 twin bar platies, 1m, 1f, 2 sunset platies both female. 5 serpae tetras, 2 albino cory's, 1 clown loach.

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): none

Exposure to chemicals:none other then water treatment

Any help would be appreciated... (After reading this I realized that it probably shouldn't have been posted in this section. Sorry about that!)

First off the clown loach shouldn't be in that size tank it's to small and he should be kept in groups, they don't do well on there own he will be stressed.
Fish can flick after a water change, how many of the fish are flicking them selves.

The clown loach ended up in my tank a couple of months ago - when my sisters tank broke. It was my tank - or she was going to end it's life. And as far as it being in groups, since the one that I have is too small fort he tank, does it make sense to get even more? It seems to me that I am having to live with the situation dealt me at this time.

Thanks for your help anyway.
