Ok, I have a long established 29 gallon that is being converted.

I have no fish in it.

Would it be worth it to switch out my gravel for fluorite (or like 50% of it)

Whats your opinions on flourite?

Right now I just have medium/small sized gravel.

It depends what you want to do with the tank. I've no experience with Flourite, but I believe people do mix it with gravel to boost plant growth.

Personally Flourite is a waste of money. You would be better off getting some Laterite and placing it under the gravel, or getting a tub of tetra plant substrate. Around £14 that will do a 100-150l tank. I think flourite is around £22 a bag if I'm correct?

You could always use normal gravel and add root tabs?
