I'm planning on using Flourite in my planted tank, with sand on top. My question is, how can I keep the sand from working its way below the flourite, and messing up the whole look of the tank?
I've heard of people using mesh, and I'm aasuming they are just cutting holes where the plants are, but I'm really not sure what kind of mesh to use, or even where to get it (Home Depot?)
Or am I just worrying needlessly, and sand on top of flourite works just fine?
Also, is flourite the best choice for a planted tank, or should I go with eco-complete, or perhaps something else?
