I just bought some fertilizer called Flourish made by Seachem, and I was wondering if this is any good?

Thanks!

It's not bad at all, I've used it for traces, and when I can't be bothered doing a water change on my main tank.

I'd recommend it for low-medium light tanks with medium-fast growing plants.

But I find that with my soft water, I have to add potassium in addition to it.

If you dont have many fish, use CO2 and/or have high light, you will probably also have to add nitrogen and phosphate fertilisers too though.

Can you give me some good brand names for thses kinds of fertilizers?

Thanks!

tropica plant nutrition plus made by tropica aquacare i think, it's what i can make out most dose with including me. Others use dry ferts but others will help you more with them lol (still learning).

Seachem make these :good:. Seachem ferts should be available everywhere. Works out cheaper to get the EI powders (potassium nitrate and potassium phosphate) and make your own solutions that would be the same as the Seachem products though.

Tropica Plant Nutrition + does trace and NPK fertilisation, but on bigger tanks isnt the best value for money (though simpler) and you may end up having to overdose the whole fertiliser just to get over deficiencies in one nutrient. It's also not available everywhere.

Okay thanks again!

The only Seachem ferts I found at my LFS was the one I described earlier, but they do have dry ferts. The kind that you stick in the dirt under the roots of the plants, are these any good?

Thanks again guys for the replies!
