hi i set up my tank
i have 4.3wpg but no co2 and im not allowed to spend another penny on my tank
so i cant buy any co2 systems ive asked for a free nutrafin cannister on the forums no one has one so now i need to ask for some free florish excel to make up for lack of co2 and or any free co2 tablets
can anyone giv me any free stuff like this if so pm me plz

make a yeast chamber out of a 2lt coke bottle, just glue the tubing into the cap.

Excel ain't cheap I'll be surprised if you get some for free.

I agree with Sam. You can make a C02 kit for next to nothing.

You will have to use an airstone until you can afford a diffusor or ladder.

On a personal note Arif. Most of us have been where you are know, and we understand your frustration when you can't get what you think you need. But don't panic. I was just like you when I was your age lol. Most people have planted tanks and have never used C02 etc. Your plants will be just fine without, they may not grow as fast you would like, but they will be ok.

One thing that I have learnt is not to get worked up over these things, because with this hobby you are never done buying stuff, as soon as you get one thing sorted you will need another I am experiencing this now, have spent about 600 quid on my tank since I got it in January and I still need loads more

Take your time and enjoy your fish tank as opposed to panicking over it. Also, make the most of these forums, they are a huge wealth of knowledge and I am sure everyone on here will help you wherever they can.

hehe good luck in getting it for free, Im with Sam just hook up a DIY yeast unit and your good to go, kept a 40 gallon going for about a year with 2 DIY CO2 units. Cheap, just need looking after, but it can be done.

i dnt really understand diy co2
but will this idea work i make my own diy co2 in a 2litre bottle then in the lid make a hole with airline tubing and then i jsut connect the airline tubing straight from the bottle to a diffuser will this work???
im confusde thats y i wanted a free nutrafin canister and diffuser and all i had to do was make my own diy yeast thing><

Exactly how you say basically. All the Nutrafin cannister gives you is a bottle, which you can get from an empty pop-bottle. The Nutrafin ladder can be replaced with a ceramic airstone/diffuser. Away you go.
