Hey peeps.

I Add 20ml of Floraboost to my tank each week, but am going to change to 5ml each day due to lack of nutriants to my Anubias.
I added 5ml today directly to the tank, and noticed now a build of algae on one of my plants (forgot name) would this happen via adding it directly?
Just curious as I have never had Algae before apart from Diatoms which I suffer from a fair bit

Adding a small amount of fertiliser more regularly is better for the plants because they get a more consistent food supply. Adding the fertiliser directly to the tank water will not encourage algae. It was pure coincidence that it happened when you added it. If you pour the liquid near the filter outlet it will help to circulate it quicker.

Under water, Anubias are slow growing plants that don't require a lot of fertiliser and often develop algae on the leaves.

its not the Anubias with Algae its my stem plants suprisingly, consdering they are fast growing.
Not matter I though it was coincidence.
Thanks for the reply Colin_T

Best regards
Carl
