Floating

I cleaned my fish tank and when I put my catfish back in...well he can't stay at the bottom. He keeps swiming to the bottom and then floating up. Now I've put him in a seperate little tank inside of the big tank. Can anyone help?

This sounds like swimbladder disorder. See http/www.mushi.petfish.net/swimbladder.html (it is mainly a betta site but treatment will work for your catfish too).
