Floating Stuff

Hi all, I have noticed for a while that I can't get my water totally clear, it's not murky but there does seem to be a lot of small particles floating about. I cleaned my filters recently but still just as bitty. My fish do eat the bits but spit them out straight away when they realise it's not food.

Any suggestions or is this just something I have to put up with?

what filter do you have? try some of the white filter floss over the outlet if you have an internal filter or replace the filter floss if you have a canister filter, the floss will sieve out any tiny particalls any leave you water crystal clear

I have a Fluval 305 for my 240L.

What is filter floss, first time i've heard of it? Can i use anything from home to use instead?

filter floss is the white stuff similar to what they put in pillows or kids stuffed toys, you cant use this stuff though as it has fire retardant stuff in it these days, you can pick it up from most pet stores I would think, it also comes in pads

I can get it from the range? dunno if they have a range in sussex tho

Never heard of Range but i have a few Aquatics nearby and a Pets at home not far either so i'm sure i'll be able to find some - If not the net will bring me some in i'm sure.
