Floating Some Riccia In My Tank

I'v got some riccia and i'v used some for making a carpet and the rest im planning on floating on the top.

Am i ok to just bung it in the water and leave it be?

well, it might be bad if you have other plants on the bottom because if you have too much riccia on top, it can blot out the light lol

Also, if your filter outlet creates a current you'll wish you never did it! I'm still trying to get rid of bits of riccia floating about and stuck behind outlet pipse etc, and I was using a bit of air line to corral it!
