floating plants

I would like to get some floating plants in the tank but want the lights burn them.

Hi,

Dont worry they wont get burnt - your water souldn't be touching the light though. Floating plants like a lot of light, riccia is nice stuff to see on top.

the wqater is around 10cms above water level

thats fine, riccia or any other floating plants will be okay. bear in mind thay will reduce the overall light in the tank though so need thinning out regularly.
