Floating Plants

i read that removing the large weights and foam from around bought plant bunches and separating and planting them straight into your substrate was better than just putting the whole thing in, i did this today and now all my plants are floating, how do you all weigh them down, i have sand

Put them deeper or you need a bit more sand, normally around 2inches and push them right in
