Floating Plants

Can all plants grow while floating? I was told I can get rid of some algae if I add more plants (I have 65W lighting and I was told I dont have enough plants to out compete algae). So, I added some plants, but my tank is so cloudy from the algae I cant see the back of the tank, making it impossible to add plants back there. Will the plants survive floating, even if they usually are planted? The plant is a... I forget. Im going to try to remeber.

yes they will survive, but they will grow funny (not straight). I would reccomend adding some Hygrophillia polysperma, this will cover the yop of your tank in a months time!
