I came home from work today and one of my plants was floating on top. 3 of my Bettas were cutely huddled up in it so I want some sort of floating plant. I would like somthing very hardy. I did find on Ebay, Salvinia minima. Would this be a good choice or any suggestions ? Thanks !

I've not got a suggestion but would say avoid duck weed... its called a weed for a reason. I had 1 leaf with another plant and now my big tank is covered in it. Any photo i take makes my clear water look green :(

I have water lettuce, and the fish love it. I would swap you some, but I have a bit of BGA at the mo, so you wouldn't want it! Fairly easy to get though, and the nice feathery roots that hang down make a good place for fish to chill

thank you !

Million....your tank is beautiful

Thanks very much! You can just about see the water lettuce at the top.

I would really recommend it, it grows without any attention at all, and will cover a tank in a few weeks given a chance!

hornwort, amazon forgbit, water lettuce, myrophilum sp, riccia fluitians and dwarf riccia, also some out of the box ideas would be nypmhea bulbs, as those produce water lillies that hang on the surface, and egeria is a good fast growing stem plant that will float.
