Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a floating plant to provide some cover from direct light to make my fish feel more secure in their environment.

Can anyone recommend a variety that would be suitable for my tank.

Please see my tank details in my signature.

I use hornwort. It grows quickly and in most conditions and so also helps keep algae under control. I have also tried Salvinia Natans, but didn't really have enough light for it though it looked good.

other floating plants..
riccia
duckweed (an aquired taste)
how about a lily plant? Nmyphaea species. I've heard of people growing these successfully in low light conditions.
