in my experience, male guppies will fight with each other. i have had this experience countless times and as a result have stopped kepping guppies all together!! i never kept females as i did not want to rear fry. my males were always fighting and i found that there was often a bully in the group that would pester and harrass the others, often to death unless they were separated quickly! however, i have heard that keeping 3 females to every 1 male can combat this problem a bit. good luck with them

Thanks, i don't know what to do now, just leave the guppies and see what happens or take em out and get rid of them as i can't introduce any new fish at the moment until i know the bacterial disease is cleared and the nitrites are down !!

Well, after a 25% water change yesterday and a 50% change today and a treatment for the fin rot, all the remaining fish seem pretty happy and healthy. The fish shop suggested i do a 10% water change every day next week too to try and get the nitrite level down! But it looks like the main problem is sorted. My guppies have calmed down now too which is good !!
Thanks for your help and advice people.

The fish seem to be ok now. Just one thing im slightly worried about is that a couple of the danios appear to be slightly swollen. The seem to be swimming ok though and don't seem lerthargic, infact quite the opposite !!

It may be nothing. Just keep an eye on them for anymore symptoms. It could be any number of things. From constipation to dropsy. as long as they are eating and swimming fine, I wouldn't worry unless you notice more symptoms. Keep up with regular water changes and watch them.

Thanks Coleen. Fish keeping is not something with O.C.D should do as i'm probably just paranoid!!

Got a touch of OCD myself. I tend to be over cautious myself. With OCD you should be right on top of things. Just remember to breath and enjoy watching your fish
