I have a rather large piece of bogwood in my new Vision 260 tank but it refuses to sink. I had it in my previous tank and the only way I could keep it down was by jamming it between the two sides.

I think it must have some trapped air, but I soaked it for two weeks before using it first and in total it has been underwater for two months. I thought all the air would have been expelled by now.

Can anyone suggest how I can get this to sit on the bottom of the tank rather than have it floating at the top?

Thanks

It will eventually sink. The larger the piece of wood, the more air it will have trapped. One way to keep the wood sunk is to attach it with screws to a piece of slate.

It will take awhile, I've got a couple pieces of wood soaking for 2 months now and it still floats.

You can hold the bogwood down by putting rocks on it or by tying it down with fishing line to a rock or similar heavy tank object  .

i guess i just got lucky have never ad any problems, but teh wedging it in with stones sounds good and if doen well could look really nice
