Hey guys my cherry shrimp have virtually free run of my tank and have been starting to breed really well theres two many babies growing up to count. The problem is somehow green flies have got in my tank and are breeding i keep killing them over and over and the surface of the water is littered with them and you see there larvae swimming around the tank from time to time. I want to put one of my fish from my other tank back in to sort the fly problem out but don't want them harming the younger cherry shrimp. My choices are neon tetras, danios, dwaf gourami and siamese fighter. Any suggestions. This fly problem is getting worse and worse.

Endlers would be ideal a small group of 5, so that they have sufficient colony status, they also hang around the top levels of the tank most of the time. your shrimp won't be affected provided you have moss and plants in there as you should anyway to provide insuforia for them to feed on.
