Shalom,
My mothers tank has loads of brown mold in it and now there are little flies, like green flies inside it !
What are they?? What do we do??

My mother asked in the local pet show, but they didn't know what it is.

You can get plastic sheets that go along the tank before the hood to stop flies getting in.
Think some fish will eat them.
How long has the tank been set up?

well first thing i would do is look at the filtration without seeing pics its a hard guess

I would bet that if you look at the hob filter if thats whats in it the filter needs a cleaning with possibly the renewal of the filter media

Then I take off the canopy and i bet if you turn it over you will find that the condensation has caused a growth of sorts to form on the inside of the canopy if so take it to the bathroom and clean it thoroughly

Then I would give the tank a good cleaning if the insides of the glass have algae growing on them when done do a water change so as to give a breath of fresh air to the fish. I personally use seachem prime as a conditioner for my tanks.

Might i ask what temp she keeps the tank at and how long between wc, also if the decor in the tank has started to get algae growth i would clean them off as well but use some tank water in a bucket to clean them so you dont kill the bacteria on them
