I caught my gouramis rubbing and flicking a couple of times on a leaf he's not doing it all the time though, i also caught a cory doing it once.
Is this a sign of white spot?

Keep an eye on them, classic sign of ich

Do they have red gills?

can you give water stats please? ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, etc. It could be a few things.

OK, keep an eye on them and get the Protozin ready!

I noticed that some of my Rummy Tetra's got whitespot within 8hrs of getting stressed (had to pull the tank around to find 2 BN plecs that seem strangely good at hiding)

As the above post says ^ water stats would be great!

it could very well be whitespot coming, but i wouldnt get too ready for it just yet. It could be something a simple couple of water changes can handle, thats what happened in my tank once.
