Flame Angel Sudden Death

Our flame angel was fine 2 hrs ago and I just found her dead on the bottom of the tank. Has been eating fine... happy... healthy tank, with the exception of some green hair alge growth. Recent partial water change .. numbers are good.. Nitrate 20ppm/ nitrites O pH wnl.. amonia 0.. 30 gal tankmates include 2 blue damsels a tomato clown a choc. chip star and a sally lightfoot crab. I did treat the tank this morning with "chem-marin stop hair alge" 100 % reef safe biodegradeable.. used the recommended 3 oz for 30 gal tank.

Can these fish just up and die like that She was in our tank for 6 months with out any trouble! HELP!!

Are you absolutely positive that the fish did not look bloated or underweight at all before death?

Absolutely! It was a beautiful fish! My husband remembers seeing it swimming around just a few hours before it was dead on the bottom of the tank. Im still stunned!!
