im thinking of ordering some anubias to grow on some of teh smaller pieces of wood in my tank. how do you attatch them ? is it just a simple case of tie the roots to the wood ?

pretty much yeah, just get some cotton or fishing line and you can tie the rhizome [sp?] as well as the roots to the wood :good:

hi, i find it much easier to superglue the rhizome to the wood/rock. :good:

i just tied around the main part (rhizome) of the plant to the wood with the roots spread flat so the plant would sit. The plants had loads of roots so i trimmed some off, but i would take advice from other people on that because i literally had no idea what i was doing. I used a nylon thread because i had nothing else

Superglue, its loads easier.

thanks guys . i rekon i will tie it on with something like fishing line.

Anubias can be frustrating. I sure would try that superglue method the next time. with that method, I would imagine you could create quite a large patch of anubias.

Warning - do not keep nerite snails with anubias! With any other plant they are OK.
