The only probs I have with my Fluval3Plus is that sometimes when I take it aprt to rins the media (In old tank water at water change time) It sometimes doesn't start when reconnecting.

So all I do now is turn it on. touvh the propellor and then it spins, then connect the cannister part, and hang it back in the tank.

No probs really, and I don't really want an external. More clutter in the house and more unsightly cables.

Everything I have is inside my tank so is out of the way.

I've just brought a tank with a fluval 4+ as part of the package, would we say it is a good filter or same as juwel should be upgraded first time can?
If so what, Should be looking for external filter?

fluvals are a v popular brand, however they're really not v reliable, loads of people have had trouble with them.
what size tank is it going to be used on?

Currently fishless cycling a 45 gallon tank.

speakign personally i would want more filtration that the fluval 4 on a 45 gallon tank, i had one on a 30 and it was struggling
