Hi everybody!

Just out of interest what should your PH be when you are performing your cycling and is this important?
Also....does it matter what kind of filter you have? I have a Rena Filstar...the one that comes with the Rena Aquarama 60.....as far as I know it only has black sponges in it?

Any advice would be very helpful! :D

It's senseless to test pH during a fishless cycle, it will swing, sometimes wildly, but won't affect anything.

The reason why I ask.....is I have been waiting just over 3 months for my tank to cycle and it just doesn't seem to want to complete? My PH is now sitting at around 5......and I figured that maybe that is the reason nothing is happening anymore?
