I am a total newbie with a brand new empty tank

I have used this site to read up on fishless cycling, which I will do

However, I am not clear at what point in the process plant life can be added

Thank you for any help

You can add plants at the beginning, usually easier if you put in the dry substrae/gravel or sand then rocks then half fill with dechlorinated water. At this pont add plants of choice as you'll get some idea of how they will look in the water and it makes it easier to keep them upright. If you get plants in pots then bury them in the gravel or if you decide on rooted plants without pots again, sink them into gravel. The non-potted type look nicer I think but are easiet for the fish to dislodge (they do nibble live plants. Then fill up tank and away you go.
