backtotropical Retired Mod Retired Moderator ⚒️ Joined Jul 9, 2007 Messages 4,481 Reaction score 4 Aug 3, 2007 #6 Ok. 20 UK gals = 90 litres = 90,000ml You want ammonia to be arised to about 5ppm (parts per million), so 90,000ml / 1,000,000 x 5 = 0.45ml (desired ammonia level in tank) Your solution is 9.5% ammonia so 0.45ml / 9.5 x 100 = 4.7ml (amount of solution to be added to tank to raise to 5ppm) Hope this helps.
