Fishkeeping Just Doesn't Do It

[sb_onefish]

For all the knowledge and skills that must be aquired to be successful at it, the term "Fishkeeping" is not adequate, IMHO.

The keeping and breeding of exotic birds is called "aviculture", so maybe this set of skills should be called "aquaculture". Or aqua-biology??

Am I wrong??

I've heard the term aquaculture used (usually referring to fish farms, granted), but even so, keeping birds is also called "birdkeeping." Plenty of justification in having a formal term, but no need to retire the informal one.
