Hey everyone, I have a 10g and I am going to have a clown but I dont know what to have for my second one...I was thinking of either a damsel, purple firefish, or Royal Gramma Basslet. I was looking for 2 things: 1) very active (swimmers) and 2) good looking :good: Which one would you guys recommend?

Well first a clown needs more like 30 gal long term so I wouldn't do that. A damsel would work ok but it would only be suitable by itself. Actually though only one fish will most likely live comfortably in a ten gal long term. A firefish, purple or not, probably isn't a good choice as they are very skittish and you wouldn't see it too often I'm afraid. Be warned they are also known for jumping out of the tank so you should have lids if you want to keep one. I believe a royal gramma also needs around 30 gal long term. Check out liveaquaria.com at the nano fish selection to get an idea of better options to what will fit in a 10 gal long term.

I am going to disagree with crazyelece, not on the clown fish though, how big is your tank? if you have say a 24 gallon then you are fine, if its a 10 then you need to rethink this whole clown+ otherfish idea. If its a big enought tank I say get a fire fish, they may be skittish but they are hardy and the more hiding places and bolt holes you have for them the more you will see of them.
