I've had my 2 Black Moors for a while now and I got them an air pump to help oxygenate the water. Today I noticed that Blinky keeps going up to the surface and eating the bubbles. I put the air pump in there to prevent this but their still doing it. I don't know why. Any suggestions?

Is it filterd? if so, make sure the pump output aggitates the water surface.

what are your readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH? is pH stable? what temperature is the tank at? ANy other signs of stress of illness?

I dont think it is necessarily a problem. Blackmoors tend to do that. I wouldn't worry unless you see any other signs of something being wrong. :good:

There are no other signs of illness or anything. I have yet to get an ammonia tester and all that but that will be my next purchase tomorrow. Thanks guys

Is the airpump the correct size for the tank? You may have bought one too small, also is there an airstone attached to the tube?

The airpump is the correct size and there is an airstone attached. I actually just went and bought a new one yesterday because water got in mine. Everything seems fine now. They don't seem to go to the top anymore. Thanks guys
