I was stalking my usual internet haunts, Reddit mostly, when I came across an Aquarium thread that mentioned a site called FishForums.net.com. So I found the site, and it's pretty awesome! (I've only looked up tank stocking so far) But I like it.
You type in the dimensions of your tank, what filter you have and then you choose your type and quantity of stock from the list and it tells you how full your tank is. It also gave me info (That I already knew) But that may be helpful for beginners, such as I need to up my Danio's and my BNP needs driftwood ;)

I think anyone who is worried about being over stocked should seriously check it out :)

I suspect you are talking about some kind of aquarium calculator.... if so, the name has been filtered out and changed...

The information on said website is often incorrect and relies on unreliable methods to make calculations. The site caused so many more problems than it solved so we dont recommend the use of it at all!

Besides... all you have to do is ask here on the forums and you'll get an answer....

Am I wrong in saying that THIS site is fishforums.net already? Although I believe there was the original site by a slightly different name. Corrrect?

Thanks,
Steve

This is fishforums.net however what the OP actually typed was the name of a well known stocking calculator. I have fallen foul of this in the past when I didn't realise it was a banned word and was automatically changed to fishforums.net.

The stocking calculator mentioned is controversial and there are many mixed views about it, many people being strongly opposed to it. My personal opinion is it is a decent beginners tool however like any automated stocking algorithm it has limitations and it's answers should not be taken as gospel. It will identify lots of basic fishkeeping mistakes but not all and can't replace thorough research and the knowledge of the experienced users on here.

I think there have been enough posts to clarify the situation and there's enough risk of people falling foul of the filters that I'm going to lock this thread.
