I just got done reading the thread about fish you'd never get again. It got me thinking about my kuhli loaches. For the longest time, I never understood why people loved them so much...supposively they hid all the time. I'm not sure what made me break down one day and get them. But I came home with six of them for my 65 gallon, and have been hooked every since. Mine are crazy active! lol Occasionally they'll completely loose their heads (and patients), and swim all the way to the top for a shot at the bloodworms. I get another kuhli every now and then when I can actually find them, and I believe I have about 7 now. Tetras were the same way, until I got my von rios. There something very calming about watching my von rios school.

So, what fish did you get with little enthusiasm, and then completely fall in love with?

I adore my two fancy goldfish love them to bits, my plec, my cherry barb as he's a little charactor, and i love my panda corys, make it all worth while, with having the tetra's.

The first would have to be Guppies, I really didn't want them but the LFS recommended them for a new aquarium hobbyist for the ease of keeping and breeding them. But as soon as I got my first batch of fry, they were the type of tropical fish I were most interested in.

And then there comes the Plec, I thought they were ugly and boring to start off with, but with them being nocturnal its great to see them feeding from the bottom of the tank at night, and its very conveniant for keeping the place tidy.. :)

A Bronze Cory called Blind Bob, because he's been blind since birth! Didn't notice at 1st, but the little bugger has been through a lot and nearly died through various illness.

She is now about 2.5" long and a healthy apart from her disability. My partner and I love her to bits and would be devasted if she died from anyhing but old age!

Hail Blind Bob, Long Live Blind Bob! :D :D :D

My para plec. A friend gave him to me a couple years back as a tankwarming gift, thing is....I already had a plan for that tank and I didn't really know what to do with this guy. He moved from tank to tank to tank over the past couple of years, finally landing in with my frontosa several months back where he found a place to stay permanently. He's quite happy in the big tank with large fish, as he is quite aggressive himself (most aggro plec ever!). Over time, I've grown quite fond of him and he's easily one of my favorite fish, hands down.

My bala shark, it my was my boyfriend who wanted a 'pet shark' i wasnt all too keen, but after bringing home and having him settle in, he's wonderful, very active and playful. It'll be sad to see him go when he grows too big for my tank.

Zebra danios, sorry Wolf. I got them a long time ago because they were hardy, back before I knew about fishless cycling. I grew to love them. They were so active! A pain to catch, but so active and pretty, especially when they colored up. I also liked their little barbels. They looked like they had little mustaches, gave them so much character. A lovely long-lived little fish. Wouldn't mind having a danio species tank in the future. Like a 3ft less deep tank or something in that lines, to feature a smaller danio species.

Im addicted to my little Veil Tail Betta "Zen" check my webpage for pix...Or check my avatar...Hes like a red apple!

I got addicted on gouramis, now I'm addicted on cichlids.
My first/favorite gourami was a pearl gourami, now my favorite is my albino zebra...

Bettas. Total addict. I love them, everything from their highly active nature to those adorable little faces. Though to be honest, with the exception of my CAE, I've never not fallen in love with a fish I've bought.

Well, its hard to define love.
I find it silly we only use on word for love. The greeks were way smarter...
Like agape love. we all agape our fish.
