Fish Worm

I dont know if im being daft?

I have just noticed two of my fishes poos have come out white. They look a bit like worms, but i didnt know if fish can get intestinal worms? I fed them banana last night so has it just turned their poo white?

yes fish can get internal parasitical worms.
it is treatable with levimasole (sp) or flubenol 15
both of which can be ordered on-line.

my personal choice would be flubenol 15 and you can get that at http/www.flubenol.co.uk/
takes about 5 working days to arrive, but has a very long shelf life (mine expires in 2014)
so maybe wroth getting now for the future even if it turns out it is just banana waste you are seeing now.

It is normally associated with some sort of illness, yes.
Fish can get alsorts of different internal parasites.
But with you having fed them banana i'd try feeding them something green or just normal flake and see how the poo comes out before the gun is jumped.

Oh, ive just ordred sterazin.....it said it treats internal worms?

I will feed flakes later to see if it makes a difference, but having looked on the symptoms on google the fish seem to have them i.e constant pooing and round bellies.

Will the worms be harmful to the fish if i leave a couple of days as im waiting for the meds to arrive?
