Fish Won't Eat

I've decided to up the bioload on my tank, since the ammonia readings dropped down to practically zero.

I now have one resiliant blue (just discovered it's blue, not grey) platy, and six gold barbs. Unfourtunately, the barbs don't eat from the surface.

My barbs don't eat the food I give them. Why won't they?

What food are you giving to them?


One of my Bettas was the same. He will only eat Catfish pellets now.

seems like you have answered your own question

i.e. try them on sinking foods, try frozen bloodwrom, brineshrimp, sinking granules etc..

My Barbs are the same...they will only eat food from the bottom, and they are very picky eaters.
