I removed 2 cardinal tetra from my tank yesterday.

One was bent and finding it really hard to swim. The second fins looked like they bin riped to sheds and very skinny with no belly. Iv had them for a year now and nothing has been added to the tank in months. other fish seem very healthy. Great colours and no loss of appetite. Poo seems normal

Bent spine and being skinny can be fish tb to internal parasites.

Signs of internal parasites are.
Long stringy white poo, or clear mucas poo.
Worms prutruding from the anus.
Enlarged anus to red inflamed anus.
Fish will look skinny or bloated.
Sunken in belly.
Bent spine.
Sometimes fish will swim on it side.

Been told on the PFK forums it probably internal organ disorder maybe related to inbreeding, age as this suddenly happed after I've had the fish for 12 months and the other fish seem fine *touch wood*

Ok.
YOu might be better of putting the fish out of its misery.
Good luck.
