has anyone one ever had one of these tanks it has Built in Five (5) Tray Top-filtration System I don't really understand how it works and do you think I could just remove it and use my FLUVAL 305 EXTERNAL FILTER

They are brilliant and gives you so much more space in your tank,I now have 3 different sized tanks with these and wont change bank all plants and fish are doing well in them. this is one of tanks,YL.

You get what you pay for when it comes to "all pond solutions". I used to have one of their filters, the EF2000+ (with UV). Which ok, it wasn't bad for the money but the UV bulb broke several times in the space of a couple of weeks and the flow drops from the stated 2000 LPH (litres per hour) to just 950, which in all fairness is a terrible drop. Tetratec and fluval are much better in every way.

I would never actually use my own money to purchase one of their tanks but that's just me. Also iv read reviews written on here about how bad quality the stands are compared to bigger brands, not recommended to use as a "show tank". I'd much rather the likes of Juwel or Fluval and so on. Far better quality. Even so I wouldn't actually buy a NEW tank. They are far too expensive and loose their value instantly. Instead I buy 2nd hand as you get far more for your money.

I bought my 450 litre Juwel Rio 400 and stand with an fx5 filter (with receipts), 2 300watt heaters, bogwood, sand, magnet cleaner and other bits for £200 :) there are some very good bargains to be found.

As for your fluval 305, yes you could use that on its own if you wanted and it would be a lot better than the built in filters.
