Fish Tank Water Cloudy...help!

Hello!
So I woke up this morning to find my fish tank water pretty cloudy.
The night before it was fine but one thing MIGHT have made it cloudy is this:
A few days ago I got pest snails that came with my live plants.
I put Zuchini in my tank which floated on the top...Shut off light and left it all night.

When I saw the water was cloudy this AM I quickly through out the Zuchini and cleaned the filter cartridge.


Will the cloudyness hurt my fish or plants? What can i do? I did a 25% water change yesterday?

Did you clean the cartridge with tap water? If so then you just lost all your bacteria, and now you'll have to cycle all over again. And I think it was because of the zucchini I would do a water change more like 50 percent if I were you

Found out it is the "Ammonia Spike" stage of my cycle.

The ammonia spikes every day during a fish in cycle....... Are you sure that it wasn't a bacterial bloom?

It is the natural part of the cycle, it should clear up in 3 day MAX
