I got home and took a look at the tank. The fish are all still alive and healthy. :D

What's even cooler is that when I looked at the temperature, it was at 65 DEGREES. The fish seemed to survive it, I think it's because the heater broke. But it is still working now, so I don't know what happened. I can't believe fish can live in temperatures that cold. It must have been 65 for the entire week.

Hi IovaykInD :)

It's good to have you back!

I suspect your tank might have cooled off gradually so that the fish had a chance to get used to the cooler temperature. I hope you warmed it back up slowly too. :D

Most fish are a lot more adaptable than we give them credit for. My dad has had a goldfish pond for over 40 years and we've had one for over 10. In the winter, they freeze over for days at a time and the fish don't seem to be bothered. Some of the fish my dad has are probably 20 years old and some of mine have been in there since day one (they actually came from his pond so they are older than my pond).
