hello 
A week or so ago my female opaline gourami died
due to columnaris
and so the male is now all alone in the tank. although
he is acting very shy, and I think is being slightly bullied by
my male kribensis. I have seen that he is wandering more at the
bottom of the tank and in the shade of the plants,(which might
be why he is being bullied by krib, since krib considers bottom
his territory) and only goes up every once in a while or when
being fed. I posted a topic in the gourami section but as noone
replied and I feel i need to take action quickly.
here are my current options:
- take fish back to lfs and get another pair of different species fish
- buy another opaline gourami
- take fish back to lfs, no other action
right now im inclined to the idea of the first option, as ive had a generally bad
experiance with opaline gouramis and all they do is just bully my swordtails around anyway.
so if i get new species heres a stock list:
- 2 kribensis male/female
- 4 swordtail 1 male/ 3 female
- 1 bn plec
- 2 oto cats
my tank is 100 l or 120 im not sure
its 80 cm by 35 by 35
i have 2 live plants and bogwood and internal filtration and gravel not sand.
please suggest species to me?
and if i buy a new opaline gourami how should i introduce her
as Ive heard opaline gouramis dont like to bond with new arrivals?
