Fish Fanatic
Hi,
I have a dwarf platy that is ill. She had had a long clear to whitish poo and there was another thread that said it could be bacteria or parasites. I have treated her for that for four or five days now. She seems stable, but is not improving and she doesn't seem able to float anymore. She swims around on the bottom, of the tank, some, but cannot get up without great effort and then she falls right back to the bottom.
So, what am I looking at now? Any suggestions. She does not seem to be in nearly as much distress. Her breathing is more normal and she is just fluttering her fins at the usual speed.
She hasn't eaten in days and I am very afraid she might just die of starvation, too.
One other thing I did not treat the other fish, just her, in a separate bowl. After I had done that for several days someone said I should treat all the fish. If it was parasites should I now treat the tank? Every other fish is looking and acting completely normal and she's been sick since Tues or Wed of this week.
