Fish Shop Says Forget Brine Shrimp ...

My local fish shop does not sell live brine shrimp ... they say the problem is growing them to a big enough size for the fish ... they say it's only worth doing when breeding fish since the new fish only need small brine shrimp.

Back east there was always live shrimp on the counter for the taking ... here in the desert only frozen brine shrimp ... Does this make sense ?? What could be the obstacles ??

Here in Canada we can't buy live brine shrimp, at least not where I live. I'm not exactly sure why. Saftey issue?

We get plenty of brine shrimp here.

they come in the normal litle bags that bloodworm do. Another LFS set up a large hatchery for a while then bag up the shrimp sell it like that then start the hatchery again when there almost out.
