Fish Selection

i would like to set up a african cichlid tank from lake malawi. i just got done cycling my 55 gallon tank and the reading are the following:

-Ammonia 0
-Nitrite 0
-Nitrate 5
-PH 8.2

i currently already plan on getting some electric yellows and some johannis. any other suggestions on fish?

yes i have but im looking for suggestions on colorful fish. i would like to stay away from auratus.

Personally I like Red Empress.

You have many options and a lot of it has to do with your own taste and your local availability. Do you have any ideas of what you might like? You already have a Labidochromis (electric yellow) and a Melanochromis (johanni) so stay away from species of the same genus.
